I hope you'll give it a try --and that it works for you, Michelle :-)

For someone like me, who isn't a joiner or big on group support, it works fabulously. I haven't used the forums or blogs or other group support systems that they have, but if online support works as well for you as the in-person meetings, then it could be a great program.

One of the things I love is that by logging onto the site each day, I see the featured articles and blogs, and then automatically click to read them. It keeps me informed, gives me stuff to think about or incorporate, that I probably wouldn't have sought out on my own.

YAY on keeping your goal weight - you're such an inspiration!

I keep meaning to try Spark People, but am being my usual self and procrastinating ... busy with other things *g*.

However, I have tried to reduce portion sizes and cut out my nightly glass of wine during the week - have managed to lose a few pounds at long last!

I have done a little bit with SparkPeople through the years (mostly recipes and success stories), but I've never used it to keep a food diary, etc. I might look into it more. I'm taking a break from Weight Watchers as it stopped being very helpful for me, and I need to figure out whether I'm going to return to WW or find another alternative. SparkPeople may be a good option.

Hi Michelle,
I feel awful sometimes when I know I've got to get dinner on the table and I'm pressed for time. But having cooked (and still cooking) for 30+yrs now... I need to remind myself why again and again! Thanks for joining me!

What a fun list! Even though I enjoy cooking, I still can feel too tired or time pressed to cook. You have some good reminders here of why it's better to cook than eat out most of the time.

I really hadn't either, Michelle. Not until I had that sandwich at Hale and Hearty. Each sandwich had a different green to match the flavor.

Hi ANju,
My biggest problem is that I would never use the entire package up on either a salad or a sandwich so having more than one use seemed smart.

I love adding basil to sandwiches and the chutney sounds refreshing!

Anna, if you see this, do you have a recipe for cucumber sandwiches? I have to bring finger sandwiches to Church on Sunday (our 125th anniversary celebration) and I was thinking of trying cucumber.
